Compression Stockings

You may be required to wear compression stockings if you suffer from a condition such as edema, thrombosis or phlebitis. The garment is designed to compress the limb therefore restricting venous pressure and relieving heavy and aching legs.

Compression stockings can be used to help boost circulation and also prevent the formation of blood clots especially on the lower areas of the leg.

The stockings increase arterial pressure which causes more blood to travel back to the heart and less on the lower area of the feet.
